Job Summary
The Accountant I, Cash Receipts manages daily cash management activities and banking relations. This role maintains, reconciles, and reports the Company’s cash position, transfers and wires funds as needed, prepares general journal entries to reflect cash transactions, prepares cash forecasts, and communicates with bank contacts.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepares daily cash position analysis and wire transfers by using online banking systems to maintain operating account balances, fund disbursement accounts, and other transfers. Prepares reconciliation of cash operating, investment, debt, and related general ledger accounts.
- Prepares and updates a weekly rolling short-term and long-term cash forecast and provides the report to management. Analyzes and reports daily on cash position, investment and loan balances, and debt positions.
- Records daily cash transactions, including investment and debt related activities.
- Reviews all bank interest calculations to ensure accuracy and agreement with banking arrangements; printing bank reports daily, and responding quickly to any exception items included in those reports.
- Ensures credit card receipt transactions are processed and posted in an accurate and timely manner.
- Reviews monthly bank analysis to ensure charges are appropriate and favorable rates are maintained; opening and closing bank accounts as directed.
- Assists with documenting department policies and procedures.

Education & Years of Experience
- High School Diploma/GED plus 0-2 years of work experience
Certifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (Preferred)

Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in an office/home office environment.
- Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

Pay Rate$19.00 - $22.50 Hourly
Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
