As an Accountant, Corporate Accounting at Centrus Energy, you’ll play a key role in keeping the company’s financial operations accurate, organized, and running smoothly. Working in a dynamic and highly regulated industry, you’ll help ensure financial records reflect the real story behind the business while supporting the reporting, analysis, and controls that keep everything on track.

What You Will Do:

You’ll support the day-to-day accounting operations that keep Centrus’ financial engine running. This includes preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, assisting with monthly and quarterly close activities, and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP. You’ll help maintain general ledger integrity, support internal controls and SOX compliance efforts, and collaborate with finance and operational teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes. You may also assist with audit requests, financial reporting support, and documentation that ensures our accounting practices remain clear, consistent, and audit-ready.

We’d Love To Hear From People With:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP principles.
  • Experience with general ledger accounting and financial close processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

A Successful Candidate Brings:

  • CPA certification or progress toward certification.
  • Experience working in a publicly traded or regulated industry environment.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle Fusion Cloud.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test and vetting to ensure Centrus Energy can meet the requirements of 10 CFR Parts 810 and 1017 to grant access to export-controlled information and Unclassified Controlled Nuclear Information, respectively.  Such access is required for the performance of this position.
