We are seeking an Accountant to be responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of reports and statements for our food service operation at Circuit of the Americas. The ideal candidate is organized, knowledgeable in accounting processes, and can communicate clearly across departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts for the venue.
  • Preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, month end closure.
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.
  • Responding to information requests for produced financial statements and assisting with internal and external audits.
  • Presenting and communicating Financial statements, reports, and updates to Senior Leadership.
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • Assisting GM, Controller and CFO with any projects as needed.

Performs other related duties as needed.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • At least two years’ experience in accounting or a related field
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to read and analyze financial reports
  • Strong understanding of US tax regulations
  • Working knowledge of relevant Financial software, experience with Sage Intacct, Ottimate (formerly PlateIQ) preferred.
  • Must live near or be willing to relocate to Austin, TX.

Work Environment 

The work environment for this position will typically follow a tradition schedule. This positions requires in office work with prolonged time sitting and looking at a screen. Nights and or weekends may be required during large events or as business demands.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. 

Position Salary & Benefits:

  • This is considered a full-time salary position.
