The Role

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform month end closing activities, prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger records as well as analysis for assigned accounting entities, all in a timely manner and in accordance with group accounting policies and accounting rules.

  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations including supporting explanations and ensure follow up on outstanding balances and taking corrective action.

  • Ensure compliance to and maintenance of internal controls in accordance with the LEGO guidelines and local tax and accounting legislation.

  • Support with ad hoc projects.

  • Consistently adheres to company guidelines and policies.

  • Understanding partners needs.

  • Support all audit-related activities including internal audits, statutory audits, tax audits.

The AR department support the LEGO Group by consistent, high-quality, and customer oriented execution of AR processes, including collaborator management. This enables the BSO to succeed in delivering significant value to the LEGO Group organization. The Accountant plays a relevant role in establishing a balanced AR department in the BSO. We seek individuals who are eager to actively supply to the growth and success of our department. Do you have what it takes ?

  • 2 - 3 years of professional working experience, preferably in a related financial role or a position where capabilities are transferable.

  • Ability to keep the SLA promises and has a sense of urgency.

  • Good Crisis Management & Problem-Solving skill to be able to resolve issues and navigate challenges with proficiency and insight.

  • Personal drive and initiative, outstanding teamwork skills, and a proven record to nurture trust and credibility with assigned business areas or key partners.

  • Confidence in making well-informed and justifiable decisions within one's functional area

  • Microsoft Office to an experienced level

  • Up to 10 days travel per year
