NASCAR is seeking an Accountant, Accounts Receivable, that creates manual invoices, adjustments/write-offs, and billing schedules for NASCAR Holdings and its subsidiaries. Reconciles accounts receivable accounts, prepares journal entries, and determines appropriate sales item coding for miscellaneous invoice requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Creates invoices in Workday Software, and researches/determines appropriate coding for miscellaneous invoice requests, based on knowledge of Sales items and Revenue categories.
- Creates customer invoice adjustments and write-offs.
- Monitors/Creates billing schedules (determine appropriate type, billing terms, dates, etc.) from revenue contracts for various companies.
- Prepares month-end journal entries and AR account Review.
- Uses import files for the uploading of invoices, billing schedules, and journal entries into Workday software.
- Prepares month-end account reconciliations.
- Completes New Vendor Setup Forms when required by customers.
- Assists with gathering information for the internal and external audits.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Required skills / experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred, or Associate's degree in Accounting and two (2) years related experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products with strong knowledge of Excel required.
- Workday experience preferred.
- Must be able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to identify accounting problems and generate reasonable solutions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as strong organizational and time management skills.
- Able to meet deadlines with a positive attitude and work ethic.
