Come and join our global team as Accountant, in this role you will be the local accounting contact both for the business in Switzerland as well as for the shared service center abroad. You will represent the local accounting team in projects and you will take ownership of performing and testing accounting-related controls .
Working closely with external auditors and internal audit teamsyou will ensure transparency and compliance across financial processes, you’ll be responsible for:
IFRS Accounting
- Ensure financial records comply with internal financial reporting standards and local regulatory requirements.
- Review and approve purchase requests, invoices, and payments.
- Guide and oversee shared service center postings in General Ledger, Subledgers, and VAT.
- Control and reconcile various balance sheet accounts .
- Manage cost accruals and dividend bookings.
- Execute month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing tasks.
Consolidated Statutory Reporting
- Calculate and post statutory adjustments across three accounting systems.
- Consolidate financial data from standalone systems to prepare statutory financials.
- Deliver year-end statutory financial statements, including notes for auditors.
Your Profile
- Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of Swiss Statutory Accounting and IFRS.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a multinational, multi-currency environment.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes.
- Naturally curious about business challenges and solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Self-driven, organized, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in SAP ERP and Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
