Responsibilities:
- Serve as day-to-day contact for mid and senior-level clients, under VP oversight
- Responsible for providing strategic solutions around anything/everything involved in our integrated and high visibility campaigns - social and digital marketing, ideas that drive earned, experiential that drives consumer engagement
- Manage multiple urgent projects, with the ability to manage up and down to ensure the team meets deadlines and stays on budget
- Ability to work amongst integrated agency team partners (including paid media, creative and shopper) and experience collaborating/presenting agency’s recommendations and point of view with clients and agency partners with excellence
- Experience in campaigns or work centered on generating earned media, including building relationships with reporters, developing earned materials and an “earned-first” mindset
- Strong knowledge of social platforms and ability to partner with social and strategy teams to ensure programming adheres to best practices to deliver the strongest ROI/ outcomes
- Oversee quality and operational performance of accounts, developing and managing clear program timelines – making sure any concerns are flagged and escalated early
- Evaluate programming and ideas to ensure we’re hitting client objectives/following client input briefs and that our executions help solve specific business challenges
- Build trusting client relationships across the brand’s organization, navigating client approval processes and structure, including a deep understanding of client “watchouts” we need to avoid across our content and programming
- Internalize and own client product benefits and articulate in consumer-friendly language
- Own presentation preparation, ensuring that all materials are correct and submitted by partners/departments on time
- Responsible for identifying and establishing program KPIs, includes partnering with analytics team (when applicable) to set client program goals, manage against them, and lead development of integrated recap reports against set goals
- Delegate and oversee the work of junior team members and/or integrated specialists, when appropriate
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields, including communications, advertising, management consulting, media, or publishing
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Has an innate passion for pets and/or animals
- An ability to demonstrate excellent storytelling skills and provide sound, level-appropriate media and integrated marketing communication counsel with key internal and client stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Previous account leadership and client leadership experience a plus
- Proactive attitude
- Team player mentality and willingness to go the extra mile to best support our client
- Commits to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies
- Experience in the pet care or food and beverage sector, a plus
- Proven ability to manage large, integrated projects and teams
- An ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of their client's businesses and their missions, as well as their key stakeholders: consumers, employees, investors, regulators, media, vendors, partners, and other businesses/organizations, etc., and will be able to impart this knowledge to account team members
