Position SummaryThe Billing Department Account Representative supports U.S. healthcare revenue cycle operations by preparing clean claims, following payer guidelines, and resolving claim issues such as denials and discrepancies. This entry-level role is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized professional who is ready to learn, communicate clearly with payers and internal teams, and work in a compliance-focused environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesFollow the mission, goals, policies, procedures, and operational manuals of the Company and Billing Department.
Execute tasks and management/supervisor instructions accurately and on time; take responsibility for work outcomes.
Create and submit clean claims; proactively reduce NCC (Not Clean Claims) through careful review and correction.
Know and follow insurance guidelines; stay up to date with payer policies and requirements.
Be familiar with CPT and ICD-10 coding concepts to support accurate claim preparation and issue resolution.
Communicate with insurance payers, clients, and patients as needed to obtain information, clarify issues, and support collections.
Resolve claim discrepancies, denials, and appeals in accordance with internal standards and payer rules.
Answer phone calls in a pleasant, professional, and helpful manner.
Maintain accurate documentation, trackers, and required reports for assigned accounts.
Collaborate and communicate consistently with other Account Representatives working on related accounts.
Participate in meetings organized by the Supervisor, Manager, and/or Company Management.
Support process optimization and continuous improvement by identifying gaps and suggesting practical fixes.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Billing Department Manager.
Perform all duties in accordance with HIPAA requirements, the WCH Compliance Program, ethical rules, and Company standards.
Maintain and protect PHI (Protected Health Information) and all confidential Company information.
Report any detected non-compliance immediately to the Supervisor/Manager and/or Compliance Officer, per the WCH Compliance Program.
Perform only ethical and legally permitted work for Company clients.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher).
Entry-level candidates are welcome; training and structured processes provided.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to evaluate data and identify errors or inconsistencies.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; able to make urgent and correct decisions when needed.
Excellent time, task, and resource management skills; ability to track multiple tasks and deadlines.
Clear verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations.
Fluency in English and Russian (verbal and written).
No criminal background.
