Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as an Account Representative. The Account Representative be responsible for calculating material orders, placing orders with suppliers, and managing deliveries. Key responsibilities include inventory control, prompt communication, analyzing data to proactively address potential issues, and ensuring on-time delivery for customers. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can develop your skills in supply chain management and contribute to the success of our operations.What You’ll Do:
- Order & Delivery Management – Calculate material orders, place supplier orders, and coordinate deliveries.
- Inventory Control – Balance customer demand with supplier schedules to avoid shortages or aged inventory.
- Data‑Driven Problem Solving – Use analytics to spot issues early and resolve them with minimal customer impact.
- Sales Order Processing – Communicate orders clearly to ensure on‑time delivery.
- Pricing & Budgeting – Accurately price parts using supplier quotes, then build sales and gross‑profit budgets.
- Customer & Supplier Relations – Daily follow‑ups, reassurance, and relationship building for success.
- JIT Coordination – Communicate with suppliers, production, transport, and customers to guarantee Just‑in‑Time delivery.
- Database Setup – Accurately enter new parts using confirmed specification sheets.
- Cross‑Functional Support – Assist accounting and quality departments in resolving issues.
- Additional duties may be assigned
What You’ll Need:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree (Supply Chain Management preferred, but not required)
- 1-2 years of experience in a related field (a plus, but not mandatory)
Skills & Qualities:
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Strong team player who collaborates effectively
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of flat roll metals (steel and aluminum) is a bonus
