Dempsey & Siders Agency, Inc. is seeking a Personal Lines Associate Account Representative. This individual may work a hybrid schedule out of the Blue Ash, OH office.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Develops in-depth product and industry knowledge. As well as, understanding of carrier appetites and guidelines.

  • Becomes familiar with and utilizes computerized systems for tracking, documenting questions/responses, information gathering and/or troubleshooting.

  • Develops skills and actively seeks information to understand customer’s circumstances, problems, expectations, and needs. Shares and/or conveys information to customers, regarding their account(s) maintaining a professional demeanor in all situations.

  • Learns to interact with customers to provide information in response to routine inquiries (telephone, email, mail, etc.) about products or services.  Refers non-routine/more complex issues to more experienced staff.

  • Builds relationships and favorable contacts with current Personal Line accounts. 

  • Becomes familiar with policies and procedures, as well as the business and organization.  Complies with company and regulatory guidelines.

  • Responsible for basic personal lines insurance processing, such as downloading policies and pulling data from carrier websites, reviewing and processing cancellations and reinstatements, handling and processing mail for the Personal Lines team, reviewing policy renewals, assisting with claims, sending proofs of insurance, assisting with billing requests, processing endorsements, and reviewing policy expiration lists.

  • Train to back up front desk/admin for agency (phones & mail)

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Business background or a related discipline preferred.

  • Insurance licensure required within 6 months.
