JOB MISSION:New Balance Denmark are for a new position in our Aalborg office seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Assistant.
You will be part of the Nordics Finance team with 4 colleagues placed in the Aalborg office and will work closely together with our current Accounts receivables assistant in managing receivables from our B2B customers across the Nordic and Baltic regions.
Our clients are leading companies in the lifestyle, footwear, and sporting goods industries, and maintaining strong, professional relationships with them is key to our success.
This is an 18 month fixed term opportunity.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:- Monitor and manage accounts receivable ledger for timely collection of outstanding invoices.
- Communicate with customers via email and phone to follow up on overdue payments.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams.
- Process incoming payments and allocate them accurately in the accounting system.
- Generate and distribute regular aging reports and statements to customers.
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
- Support credit control processes and escalate issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Proven experience in accounts receivable, finance, or a similar administrative role.
- Familiarity with accounting software - currently Aurora.
- Strong Excel skills and general proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills in Danish and English
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with customers in the Nordic and Baltic markets.
- Knowledge to Dynamics 365 as this will be implemented in the coming year.
- Knowledge of VAT and invoicing practices in the Nordics.
