The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and driven Account Manager to join our team in Brisbane, QLD.
Reporting to the Sales Manager (Education), this role plays a critical part in managing and growing an existing portfolio within the Public and Private School sector, while also winning new business across a defined territory.
You will be responsible for promoting and positioning our value proposition to prospective customers, leading the full sales cycle through to successful implementation, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of competitor offerings, capabilities, and market trends.
You will be proactive, results-driven, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a strong ability to build and nurture long-term relationships within the education sector. We are looking for candidates with proven experience selling into the education industry who are passionate about driving growth and delivering value to their customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute account management strategies aligned with the organisation’s strategic direction, collaborating closely with internal teams and national resources to drive growth.
• Identify, build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective clients, achieving conversion, revenue and profitability targets across a defined territory.
• Lead the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to successful implementation, ensuring a high-touch, customer-centric approach.
• Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, gaining deep insight into customer needs, business challenges and strategic priorities.
• Effectively position and customise the organisation’s value proposition, leveraging market insights, competitor analysis and innovation to maximise customer appeal and long-term value.
• Develop and execute strategic account and sales plans using tools such as Salesforce, including pipeline management, forecasting, segmentation and targeted marketing activities.
Skills, & Qualifications
• Proven experience in business development and complex solution sales within Education industry
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, present and build relationships at all levels, including C-suite executives.
• Strong commercial acumen, including advanced negotiation skills and the ability to structure deals that deliver long-term profitability.
• Demonstrated consulting and strategic selling capability, with the ability to articulate value propositions and tailor solutions to customer needs.
• Solid understanding of industry trends and sales methodologies, with the ability to apply best practice frameworks and tools to drive results.
