The Account Manager is responsible for managing client relationships, driving sales, and providing technical expertise to support customers in selecting the right solutions. This is a full-time position, M – F.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.

Identify and develop prospective customers.

Manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing opportunities.

Identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions through technical knowledge and sales expertise.

Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase value propositions.

Collaborate with engineering, inside sales, and product teams to ensure optimal solutions are provided.

Lead the efforts to analyze customer/market data to identify business opportunities that drive sales and margin growth.

Collaborate with vendors to ensure customer specific pricing, vendor training, and onsite support.

Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements in alignment with company policies and goals.

Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.

Provide post-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.

Use CRM to track and report sales performance, forecasts, and key account activities.

Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's or 2 Year Technical degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.

5+ years of experience in technical sales, account management, or a related role preferred.

Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and explain complex solutions.

Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.

Excellent communication, organization, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.

Proficiency in CRM software such as RubberTree, SalesForce, Microsoft Office Suite, and Power BI.

Desire and ability to acquire and apply new knowledge of the industry.

Highly driven and self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients.

Ability to read technical documents such as spec sheets, engineered drawings, etc.
Skills Required
- 5+ years experience in technical sales, account management, or related roles
- Automation, fluid power, and seal technology sales experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to navigate Epicor Profit 21 system
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel 80% of the time with possible overnight stays
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, and diagram instructions
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups
