The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join the on-premise sales team in Auckland. You will be based in Auckland, managing some of the city’s most iconic bars and restaurants. In addition to your Auckland territory, you will have a select portfolio of customers in Christchurch who you will travel to see regularly. This position will see you building strong relationships and identifying opportunities for business growth.

With Pernod Ricard’s strong brand presence, you will be innovative in expanding commercial growth with current accounts while also developing new business opportunities.

This role is ideal for someone with a FMCG account management experience, strong knowledge of the On-Premise liquor trade, and a passion for building professional relationships

This is a fixed term contract covering a period of parental leave, through until mid-July 2027.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Manage, grow and optimise a diverse portfolio of on-premise customers

  • Develop, plan and execute plans that align with company objectives  

  • Oversee sales, distribution and activation objectives.

  • Identify new business opportunities, conduct end to end negotiation and execute contract process.

  • Develop business plans and create client focussed promotion activities.

  • Report on Territory performance and market trends. Analyse sales data, provide timely and accurate internal reporting on territory performance  

What you will bring to the role

  • Proven sales experience within FMCG or beverage and/or experience in the on-premise sales environment would be advantageous.

  • Your passion for champagne / spirits / cocktails will be highly regarded.

  • Tertiary qualifications in business or related discipline would be advantageous however not essential.

  • Full driving license

  • Passionate ambitious salesperson who is results orientated.
