Overview:

As a Key Account Manager (m/f/d), you will assume comprehensive sales responsibility for strategic key accounts in the northern German states in our public team. You will act as the first point of contact at the decision-making level, drive business development and design tailor-made solutions based on our innovative portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and strategic development of primarily state authorities and their IT service providers

  • Establishing and maintaining long-term relationships at the decision-making level

  • Identifying and implementing business opportunities, managing quotation processes and contract negotiations

  • Positioning the relevant portfolio to provide sustainable support for customer goals

  • Analysing market and competitive situations, developing individual customer strategies and making targeted use of cross-selling potential

  • Collaborating with internal specialist units such as consulting, presales and bid management

  • Maintaining sales activities in CRM and regular forecast and pipeline reporting

  • Developing industry-specific solution scenarios in close coordination with customer departments – including outside of IT

Requirements:

  • University degree (e.g. economics, IT, communication) and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the sale of complex IT or communication systems

  • Experience in the strategic support and development of defined key accounts

  • Technical affinity and the ability to translate complex customer requirements into solutions

  • Customer focus, entrepreneurial thinking and confident manner

  • Strong communication and presentation skills and confident negotiating skills

  • Native German speaker with good to very good written and spoken English skills

  • Willingness to travel within Germany and openness to hybrid working

  • Willingness to undergo security screening

Als Key Account Manager (m/w/d) übernehmen Sie die umfassende vertriebliche Verantwortung für strategische Key Accounts in den norddeutschen Bundesländern in unserem Public-Team. Sie agieren als erste Ansprechperson auf Entscheiderebene, treiben die Geschäftsentwicklung voran und gestalten passgenaue Lösungen auf Basis unseres innovativen Portfolios.

Ihre Aufgaben

  • Betreuung und strategische Entwicklung von vorwiegend Landesbehörden und deren IT-Dienstleistern

  • Aufbau und Pflege langfristiger Beziehungen auf Entscheiderebene

  • Identifikation und Umsetzung von Geschäftsmöglichkeiten, Steuerung von Angebotsprozessen und Vertragsverhandlungen

  • Positionierung des relevanten Portfolios zur nachhaltigen Unterstützung der Kundenziele

  • Analyse von Markt- und Wettbewerbssituationen, Entwicklung individueller Kundenstrategien sowie gezielte Nutzung von Cross-Selling-Potenzialen

  • Zusammenarbeit mit internen Facheinheiten wie Consulting, Presales und Bid Management

  • Pflege vertrieblicher Aktivitäten im CRM sowie regelmäßige Forecast- und Pipeline-Berichterstattung

  • Entwicklung branchenspezifischer Lösungsszenarien in enger Abstimmung mit Kundenfachbereichen – auch außerhalb der IT

Ihr Profil

  • Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium (z. B. Wirtschaft, IT, Kommunikation) und mindestens 5 Jahre relevante Berufserfahrung im Vertrieb komplexer IT- oder Kommunikationssysteme

  • Erfahrung in der strategischen Betreuung und Entwicklung definierter Großkunden

  • Technische Affinität sowie die Fähigkeit, komplexe Kundenbedarfe in Lösungen zu übersetzen

  • Kundenorientierung, unternehmerisches Denken und souveränes Auftreten

  • Kommunikations- und Präsentationsstärke sowie sicheres Verhandlungsgeschick

  • Muttersprache Deutsch sowie gute bis sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift

  • Reisebereitschaft innerhalb Deutschlands sowie Offenheit für hybrides Arbeiten

  • Bereitschaft zur Sicherheitsüberprüfung
