Major Tasks & Responsibilities
Own account management for the Electrical & Electronics (E&E) segment; deliver short-term margin result, by smart tactics and commercial negotiation.
Identify and incubate new customer opportunities through early engagement, promotion of newly developed products/process technologies, and optimization of growth, market share and profitability to meet or exceed Covestro’s short- and long-term objectives.
Co-lead the segment (e.g., power supplies) with Industrial Marketing Team to craft short- to mid-term strategies and tactics; leveraging internal resources to drive growth and portfolio transformation in targeted areas.
Organize seminars, tech-days and other customer events to promote Covestro solutions and build partnerships with key players across the E&E value chain (OEMs, tier suppliers, etc.).
Continuously upskill through on-the-job training to sharpen sales competencies and capabilities.
Qualifications
Passionate about sales, with strong market acumen.
5+ years of sales & marketing experience in the polymer-related industry.
Bachelor’s degree, fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
Skilled in commercial negotiations that maximize profitability and secure win-win deals.
Solid knowledge of E&E customers and the value chain, including competitive products, applications and processes.
Strong communication skills; able to interface effectively at all levels, generate reports and deliver persuasive pitches and presentations (e.g., customer seminars, tech-days).
Preferred: extensive material knowledge of engineering plastics.
