What You'll Do
- Ownership – Manage a book of business in Japan and APAC, ensuring client retention, renewal, and expansion.
- Identify Cross-sell Opportunities – Spot product safety and stewardship service opportunities within your customers’ businesses.
- Expansion – Identify and develop relationships with senior leadership to expand services within existing accounts.
- Customer Satisfaction – Mobilize product champions within the client’s user base and rally internal teams for swift issue resolution.
- Forecasting – Monitor account health, develop user/usage growth plans, and accurately forecast your sales pipeline.
- Organization – Maintain meticulous attention to detail in documenting customer interactions, managing client requests, demos, proposals, and business reviews.
- Renewals – Plan and manage renewal activity to meet/exceed account growth targets, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely payments.
- Consultative Selling – Help customers unlock value by conducting quarterly business reviews, collaborating with 3E’s regulatory experts, and aligning solutions with industry needs.
- Voice of the Customer – Gather and share customer feedback to shape product roadmaps, pricing strategies, and go-to-market efforts.
- Team Collaboration – Support Senior Account Managers and work closely with the broader Commercial team in Japan.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- 1-3 years of experience in B2B sales, customer success, or account management. Experience in technology, IT, subscription-based regulatory solutions, or SaaS is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, or a related field.
- Native-level Japanese proficiency and fluent English skills (additional Asian languages a plus).
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to identify market trends and customer needs.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in Salesforce.com, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar applications.
- Proven results-driven mindset, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales and renewal targets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both customers and internal teams.
- Ability to travel up to 5 days per month, primarily within Japan, with occasional trips across APAC
- Hybrid work environment – must be able to work from our Tokyo office three days per week.
