The role of the account manager is to participate in the production of new and renewal business and to provide a high level of client service to new and existing clients.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle new business for the company that is assigned to you from the production team as well as from call-in and client referrals and by expanding existing networks and business relationships. Follow up on leads and cross-sell referrals.
- Servicing middle-market and international reverse flow clients
- Maintai/strengthen relationships with prospect and client decision makers, insurance buyers, and company contacts.
- Manage day to day account responsibilities and successfully perform renewal process for existing accounts. Day to day duties include but are not limited to:
- resolving client problems
- responding to client questions
- monitoring clients insurance program for possible changes
- facilitating resolution to claims
- coordinating the delivery of value added services.
- Perform administrative account management duties such as completing applications, billing, resolving collection problems, corresponding with carriers, providing customer status reports, coordinating and following up on audits, attending sales meetings, reviewing production reports and supporting internal staff department requests for information.
- Determine risk management and client coverage needs to develop effective insurance programs for new and renewal accounts.
- Provide coaching, direction and day-to-day supervision to account support staff.
- Develop effective proposals and make presentations to close new accounts and renew existing accounts.
- Provide input and support in order to develop and execute a marketing strategy.
- Implement new business and renewal processes, procedures and practices according to established company systems and guidelines.
- Manage entertainment and new business development expenses prudently.
- Apply all enabling technology to ensure efficient and effective delivery of service according to company policies, procedures and practices
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree
- Current Producer's License.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in this role or similar role
- Demonstrate sales ability with previous experience and client relationships
