Job Scope:
Highly motivated Account Manager required to manage, maintain, and grow existing strategic and critical relationships with FLS's top-tier customers at nominated customer sites.
The Account Manager is our primary point of contact for the customer site(s), responsible for attaining & promoting the voice of the customer within FLS and selling all Service Business Line offerings (parts, consumables, service, digital, upgrades & rebuilds, and technical solutions) at the designated customer site to protect FLS existing revenue and install base. This role focuses on developing strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, understanding their specific needs, developing & implementing sales strategies to increase market share & ensuring that FLS products and services meet their requirements.
Your responsibilities:

Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at designated accounts and customer sites. Serve as the primary contact for all Service Business Line sales-related activities at these sites. Operate within the internal Contract Management framework established by the APAC Region to engage and retain top-tier customers with significant current or potential future spend with FLS. Interface daily with the nominated Contract Manager as the customer site champion.

Customer Needs Assessment: Develop a deep understanding of customer site operations, both short-term and long-term business goals, and challenges. Conduct regular site visits and meetings with key contacts to gather strategic insights and feedback. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities relevant to the nominated account to identify business opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to the Service Business Line team.

Proposal Development & Deal Closure: Prepare and deliver high-quality proposals, RFP responses, and presentations. Ensure all materials are compelling, accurate, and aligned with the company's value proposition. Manage the sales process from initial contact through to order finalization.

Sales Performance Monitoring: Track and report on sales performance, including pipeline development, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction. Regularly update the CRM system with detailed account plans and accurate information on prospects and activities. Inform the Region Lead and other relevant stakeholders. Manage financials within assigned accounts to meet budget goals and maximize profitable volume for the company’s full product range.
What you bring:

Ability to develop relationships and establish credibility both internally and externally, with a solid understanding of sales principles and customer service practices

Experience in Account Management within Mining, Heavy machinery, Fixed Plant Assets, or similar is preferred.

Good knowledge or experience in mining or mineral processing operations and equipment, and an understanding of where FLSmidth products fit (Nice to have)

Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interactions with customers, internal stakeholders, and team members.

Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Willingness to travel as required by the role, with travel volumes varying based on role demands.
