As an Account Manager, you will join our collaborative and forward-thinking team, reporting to the VP Sales. Take ownership of sales efforts in Japan, understanding the unique market dynamics and customer needs. Collaborate closely with our Solution Architects to provide comprehensive technical solutions tailored to clients' specific requirements. Cultivate and expand relationships with existing partners & clients to uncover new opportunities and ensure satisfaction.
Your day to day:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for existing accounts, delivering exceptional customer service and support.
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with current clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Contribute to the growth and expansion of existing accounts through strategic planning and execution.
- Oversee a designated sales territory, collaborating closely with Marketing, Solutions, and Alliances teams.
- Coordinate and follow up on prospecting leads (via digital channels, phone, and email) with the Marketing Team to secure new business.
- Engage senior-level executives using a consultative sales approach to identify and understand their cloud services needs, including both storage and compute solutions.
- Partner with Solution Architects (SAs) to design tailored compute and storage solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes impacting the Asia and Africa markets to provide relevant insights and advice to clients.
What you bring:
- Must reside in Japan and have valid work authorization.
- Fluency in Japanese is mandatory, including the ability to facilitate and translate deep technical discussions; ability to speak and write in Intermediate/Upper Intermediate English is mandatory.
- 5+ years corporate account management and sales experience.
- 5+ years of IT Sales Experience (cloud services experience)
- Strong experience in technology sales, particularly to Managed Services Providers.
- Prior digital sales experience.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel to tradeshows and clients as required.
Your Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field experience.
