DESCRIPTION:
Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Account Manager, where you'll grow revenue through strategic sales of advanced scientific instruments and solutions. You'll develop and manage key customer relationships across diverse markets including research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and industrial sectors. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you'll identify opportunities, create customized solutions, and ensure exceptional customer experiences. This role combines technical expertise with relationship building to help our customers make breakthrough discoveries and improve efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree in Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline, plus a minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience in life sciences, scientific instruments, or related industries.
- Familiarity with qPCR/dPCR, DNA sequencing (Sanger/NGS), and/or microarray technologies and applications is a plus.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and delivering consistent business growth.
- Excellent relationship-building and account management skills, with proven ability to engage and develop strong relationships with end users, key decision-makers, and other stakeholders within customer organizations.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, with Salesforce experience preferred, as well as strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, communication, and business coordination skills, with the ability to effectively engage customers and key stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with business objectives, market opportunities, and territory priorities.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles and capital equipment opportunities, including multiple stakeholders, technical evaluations, commercial negotiations, and closing processes.
- Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple sales opportunities and customer projects simultaneously.
- This is a field-based sales role covering Central Taiwan, requiring frequent face-to-face customer engagement and on-site customer visits throughout the assigned territory.
- Business-level English proficiency is required, along with appropriate local-language proficiency for the assigned market.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for customer visits and other business activities.
- Experience with public- and private-sector procurement, tendering, and purchasing processes.
- Strong understanding of competitive products, key market players, and market dynamics, with the ability to translate market insights into effective sales strategies.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions and divisions within a matrix organization.
