Job Summary
Farnell is seeking a driven and customer-focused Account Manager to join our Danish sales team, based in Herlev. This field-based focuses on growing strategic customer relationships to drive revenue and margin goals in assigned accounts.
Working closely with customers to understand their business needs and objectives, you will position Farnell's products, services and supplier partnerships to deliver meaningful value and sustainable growth. You'll create and execute account plans, identify new opportunities and act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders within your customer base.
Reporting to a Regional Sales Manager with over 30 years of experience within the business, you'll be joining a highly supportive Nordic and Baltic team with a strong track record of success and customer focus.

What will you be doing?
As the primary point of contact for your assigned customers, you will:
- Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with customers to understand their objectives, growth strategies and challenges.
- Develop and deliver account plans that drive revenue growth, profitability and customer loyalty.
- Conduct regular business reviews, measuring performance against agreed objectives and identifying areas for growth.
- Collaborate with customers, supplier partners and internal stakeholders to create mutually beneficial business strategies.
- Analyse customer trends, pipeline activity and market opportunities to maximise account potential.
- Identify and prioritise opportunities that offer the greatest potential for profitable growth.
- Align supplier solutions and marketing initiatives with customer needs to strengthen partnerships and expand business opportunities.
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations within assigned accounts.
- Manage sales pipelines and account metrics, taking proactive action to achieve targets and improve performance.
- Monitor profitability and identify opportunities to maximise margin and minimise profit leakage.
- Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring customers receive an exceptional experience when working with Farnell.
What about you?
We're looking for a commercially minded sales professional who enjoys building long-term customer partnerships and delivering results.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience within the electronics industry would be an advantage, although it is not essential.
- A strong desire to take the next step in your career and develop into a successful Account Manager.
- Previous experience in an Inside Sales, Customer Service, Sales Support, or other commercial/administrative role.
- A positive, energetic, and proactive attitude with a genuine eagerness to learn and grow.
- A results-driven mindset with the motivation to achieve and exceed targets.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a passion for understanding customer needs.
- A customer-centric approach and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data to identify opportunities and support business growth (or the willingness to develop these skills).
- Good business acumen and the ability to understand customer drivers and commercial opportunities.
- A collaborative team player who wants to be part of a successful and supportive Nordic & Baltic sales team.
- A friendly, enthusiastic, and professional personality that helps create positive customer and colleague relationships.
- The ambition and resilience to continuously develop, embrace new challenges, and contribute to the success of the business.
- Excellent in English language, writing as well verbal.
Experience within electronics, industrial distribution, would be beneficial, but absolutely not a must. It is much more important that you are eager to learn and have a passion for sales and to deliver the best customer experience.
