About the Role
As an Account Manager within Essity’s Professional Hygiene business, you will drive sustainable growth across a portfolio of distribution partners in Madrid and the Central Spain region. Acting as the commercial owner of your accounts, you will combine strategic account management with proactive business development, identifying opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and supporting distributor sales teams in the field.
Success in this role requires a strong customer focus, commercial mindset, and the ability to influence stakeholders across different functions. You will work closely with distributors, end users, and internal teams to ensure strong execution, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth.
What You Will Do
Account Ownership: Manage a portfolio of distributor accounts, executing commercial plans, pricing strategies, promotional activities, and growth initiatives to achieve business objectives.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, customer engagement, and market development across multiple segments.
Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with distributors and end users through regular interactions, joint visits, issue resolution, and value-added support.
Commercial Negotiation: Lead negotiations on trade agreements, commercial conditions, product assortments, and margin optimization opportunities.
Sales Enablement: Train, coach, and support distributor sales teams through field collaboration, product education, and joint selling activities.
Performance & Execution: Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and ensure effective execution of pricing, promotions, distribution, and service commitments.
Who You Are
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in B2B sales, account management, business development, or commercial roles, ideally working with distributors, indirect sales channels, or customer-facing environments.
Strong analytical and commercial skills with experience using sales data, performance metrics, and structured sales processes to support decision-making and business growth.
Fluent in English.
