Covestro, a leading company in the supply of premium polymers and high-tech plastics, is looking for an Account Manager to join the Sales and Marketing Specialty Films team based in Filago (BG).

The Specialty Films business in the EMEA region develops polymer film solutions for a broad customer base, with a focus on the segments Medical, ID/Security, Automotive, as well as Consumer and Industrial applications (CIS).

As part of this dynamic team, you will be responsible for implementing segment-specific marketing and sales strategies in the respective region.

The focus of this hunting and business development-oriented position is on ID, Medical, as well as several Industrial and textile-driven applications for the Italian market.

You will act as the first point of contact for technical consultation regarding the selection of suitable film products, their properties and methods of application.

Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing Specialty Films Italy, the selected candidate will take on the following responsibilities:

  • Maximize sales and profitability of the Specialty Films (SF) business by implementing short- and long-term sales strategies;

  • Accountable for sales in the assigned area, including the negotiation of supply contracts, quantities, prices and terms of conditions;

  • In collaboration with existing and newly identified customers in your territory, develop growth projects by introducing new or modified products and new applications to the market;

  • Generate market intelligence on customer demand, the competitive landscape and general market conditions to strengthen Covestro's position as a key supplier;

  • Attend and contribute to commercial and technical trade fairs.

WHAT YOU OFFER

The right candidate will have proven experience undertaking a similar role and has a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Chemicals or alternatively commercial or technical field.

Other requirements:

  • Several years of business experience in Sales and/or technical development roles within the thermoplastics or technical goods industry, with a track record of sales growth

  • A background in the polymer/plastic films industry is considered a strong advantage

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both internally and externally

  • Fluency in Italian and English is a must, both written and spoken

  • Structured and analytical working style, with a high degree of autonomy and professional expertise

  • Strong team spirit combined with the ability to work independently and deliver results

  • Willingness to travel as required to visit customers and attend commercial and technical trade fairs
