Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Managers with 3PL sales experience to join our team. This role requires a candidate with at least 2 years of experience in freight brokerage and a proven track record of managing and growing a book of business. The ideal candidate will bring over an established book of business and be responsible for leveraging their network, building on existing relationships, and managing the end-to-end logistics process for their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition & Portfolio Growth:

    • Bring over and expand an established book of business by networking, researching, and prospecting for new opportunities within your existing book of business.
    • Strengthen relationships with current clients by understanding their business, transportation needs, and product requirements.
  • Operational Coordination & Client Support:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, carriers, shippers, and receivers to ensure seamless freight operations and timely deliveries.
    • Monitor load progress and proactively resolve any in-transit issues (e.g., weather delays, traffic, etc.) to ensure on-time delivery while managing costs.
    • Ensure that client expectations are met and exceeded, providing ongoing support to build long-term relationships.
  • Business Development & Strategy:

    • Continuously assess the evolving needs of your clients and look for opportunities to add value, whether through improved logistics processes, cost savings, or new services.
    • Use your existing network and industry expertise to identify new business opportunities, both within your current client base and through new prospects.
  • Other Duties:

    • Perform additional responsibilities as required to ensure the success of your portfolio and department.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in freight brokerage with ability to bring your current book of business
  • Proven track record of managing and growing a book of business, with an established client base in logistics or freight brokerage.

  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for working with both clients and internal teams.
  • Self-Motivation: Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work independently and manage your book of business effectively.
  • Multi-tasking & Time Management: Capable of juggling multiple client needs and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking: Ability to quickly analyze complex situations, make decisions, and implement solutions that ensure client satisfaction and business success.
  • Availability: Willing and able to be on call as required to address urgent client needs or issues.
