About the job
As our new Account Manager, you will have an exciting opportunity to develop brand awareness, sales activities and strengthen our relationships with our contract dealers, Architects and Designers in the Nordics. You will be joining our Nordic Contract Sales team based out of our stunning HAY House in the heart of Copenhagen, and you will report directly to our Contract Sales Manager - Nordics.
In this exciting role, you will promote HAY and further establish the brand in the contract market. Combining your specialist knowledge, experience and positive mindset, you will look after existing partnerships and expand the HAY network to promote sales.
You will establish, maintain and enhance our customer relations with the ambition of growing our sales performance. Your focus will be on customer-centric sales efforts, and you will be working closely together with five other dedicated colleagues in HAY House. This role will also require regular travelling.
More specifically, your tasks will include:
- Build knowledge of the professional market and develop the competencies to manage business customers and projects independently
- Strengthen and expand HAY’s Contract sales activities in the Nordics
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new dealers, end customers, and A&Ds
- Drive client engagement through visits, presentations, and product showcases. Give solution-oriented presentations and share product knowledge to support client decision-making
- Use Salesforce to track sales, manage customer relationships, and keep the pipeline accurate
- Deliver on sales strategies, provide timely support for inquiries, and contribute to improved account performance
- Support sales activities at HAY House and participate in relevant industry events
- Collaborate effectively within the Nordic Contract Sales team to ensure a strong team dynamic
- Take on additional responsibilities aligned with your skills and experience

- You enjoy, and are motivated by, doing both canvas sales, and maintaining existing sales channels
- You are a strong service-minded team player with a positive outlook that motivates you to make your challenges a success focused on finding solutions and identifying possibilities
Experience required / You’ll need
- You have a strong sales background ideally with experience working with Contract dealers and A&D
- You are a driven self-starter who thrives by working independently and is energised by working as a part of a strong team
- You have excellent presentation and communication skills, as well as an enthusiasm for and interest in interior design, products, materials and manufacturing processes. You have an eye for detail, the ability to understand customers’ ideas and needs and convert them to competitive solutions in close collaboration with the customer.
- Your accomplished time management skills give you the ability to prioritise tasks and work under tight deadlines
