Account Manager, Client Success - APAC


Overview: We seek a highly motivated and adaptable professional to join our fast-growing technology company. This position will help lead media planning, reporting, and measurement in partnership with Sales. You will facilitate management of all aspects of the campaign from the pre-sales cycle through mid-campaign management and post-sale servicing, including measurement, providing an exceptional end-to-end experience for your clients.  The role will be pivotal in maintaining client growth and renewals and will be at the forefront of our ever-evolving programmatic, data, and measurement capabilities.


A client services pro, you’re comfortable managing and growing lots of agency accounts, and able to prioritise between a hundred different things at once. You love learning new technology and teaching it to others. You’re as comfortable diving into Excel to improve a campaign as you are with taking an agency out for dinner. You’re a self-starter and can set your own priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Account Management and Operations:
  • Understand Client Needs and Objectives: Support the assessment of clients' business goals and advertising needs to help deliver tailored solutions and strategic recommendations.
  • Resolve Client Issues: Assist in addressing and resolving client issues promptly, managing internal escalation points to maintain high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Leverage Samba’s Value Proposition: Aid in maintaining a strong understanding of Samba’s solutions, with a focus on audiences, data, and measurement to better support client needs.
  • Provide Strategic Recommendations: Support the provision of strategic recommendations to agencies, direct brands, and partners based on audience requests and client briefs.
  • Ensure Campaign & Measurement Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate campaign details, ensuring smooth execution, performance optimisation, and achievement of results.
  • Analyse and Report on Campaign Effectiveness: Assist in tracking, analysing, and reporting on campaign data, providing clear and actionable insights through proactive reporting and post-campaign reviews.
  • Client and Partner Reconciliation: Manage all Salesforce reconciliation for programmatic audience and partner usage month reporting.
  • Manage Requests Efficiently: Handle a high volume of client and partner requests with accuracy and timeliness to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Troubleshoot Campaign Issues: Support the resolution of programmatic campaign audience and measurement issues as they arise, helping to troubleshoot and address problems effectively.
  • Support Measurement Operations: Support the measurement setup and troubleshooting for discrepancy resolution.
  • Enhance Client Relationships: Act as a key point of contact, maintaining and strengthening relationships with key clients, including senior stakeholders, through consistent check-ins and support.
  • Drive Business Growth: Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of strategies to grow partnerships, secure renewals, and campaign extensions, and assist in forecasting and sales management.
  • Support Training and Best Practise Sales Materials: Help build the Client success practice, by creating training materials, best practices, sales materials and customer-facing guides.
  • Audience Activation:
  • Create and Manage Audiences: Assist in the development and deployment of audience segments for agencies, brand direct clients, and partners, ensuring accurate targeting and alignment with campaign goals.
  • Recommend Targeting Strategies: Support the recommendation of optimal audience targeting strategies by gathering and analysing relevant data to enhance outcomes for agencies, direct brands, and partners.
  • Configure and Monitor Campaigns: Help in setting up, executing, and overseeing Samba TV’s audience targeting products and campaigns, ensuring they run smoothly and meet the required specifications.
  • Optimise Campaign Performance: Support the analysis of campaign performance data, assist in implementing optimisations, and identify potential cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot Campaign Issues: Assist in identifying and resolving issues related to campaigns and creative assets, including troubleshooting problems with PMP delivery and audience data segments.
  • Lead Troubleshooting Calls: Coordinate and facilitate troubleshooting discussions with traders and agencies to address and resolve campaign-related issues.
  • Provide Strategic Guidance: Support the provision of expert advice on campaign planning and targeting strategies during pre-sales and post-sales phases, contributing to client success.
  • Improve Operational Workflow: Identify and help address process inefficiencies to improve operational workflow and overall efficiency.
  • Lead Training and Serve as Point of Escalation: Coordinate and deliver training sessions for team members and new hires, and serve as a key point of escalation for complex issues and support needs
  • Client Success: 
  • Partner Enablement: Develop and execute partner enablement programs, including training modules and workshops, to enhance the understanding and utilisation of Samba TV solutions.
  • Partner Development: Analyse performance metrics such as usage across targeting and measurement and conduct regular reviews to identify opportunities for improvement and growth, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Client Success: Drive proactive engagement and strategic account management, ensuring high satisfaction and retention rates.
  • Quarterly Business Reviews & Partner Meetings: Own the process, collaborating closely with the commercial and AM teams to drive strategic alignment and actionable insights with partners.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of programmatic advertising experience required; 3+ years of client-facing experience; trading and planning experience is a plus
  • Expertise in working with RTB, DSPs, ad exchanges, aggregators, ad servers, and other optimisation platforms is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, you can manage the most difficult conversations with clients and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Solid experience in Excel and MS Office, including pivot tables, and chart-making.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Proven track record of growing accounts by forging a strong relationship with clients, understanding their objectives and recommending best strategies
  • Effective time management skills – ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail
