The Inside Broker executes sales activity in a structured, high-volume environment, primarily through phone-based interactions. This role identifies, solicits, and places appropriate insurance coverage by utilizing accessible markets while serving as an intermediary between agents and carriers. The core function of this role centers on efficient deal execution, transactional production, and supporting new and renewal business to meet or exceed brokerage team production goals.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute new and renewal business activity by quoting, placing, binding, and confirming policies within established guidelines
Market insurance products by identifying appropriate coverage solutions through accessible markets for less complex risks
Negotiate coverage terms with carriers within defined underwriting and pricing parameters
Serve as a primary point of contact for agents on assigned accounts, managing communication and responding to inquiries in a high-volume environment
Ensure accuracy of submissions and policy information, including risk details and coverage structure
Monitor assigned accounts to maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and underwriting standards
Support production goals by driving transactional deal flow and contributing to overall team performance
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree or relevant insurance designation preferred
Experience within wholesale insurance, including quoting, placement, or account management responsibilities

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Appropriate state-specific insurance license required. Additional certifications may be pursued to support technical development and career progression.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
Strong understanding of insurance products, underwriting concepts, and market placement practices
Ability to analyze risk information and match coverage solutions within defined guidelines
Effective communication and relationship management skills with agents and carriers
Ability to manage high-volume workflows with speed and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize competing demands
Proficiency in systems and tools used to support quoting, placement, and servicing activities
The annual base salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000.
