Position Description:

To promote and sell the corporation products to prospective clients, agents and consultants and also acts as a liaison between Delta Dental and clients, agents and consultants to ensure an understanding of products and services in order to meet individual sales goals.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops strategies and plans to acquire new business for the corporation in order to meet sales goals.
  • Conducts or participates in implementation meetings with new groups.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key agents, consultants, and key decision makers to ensure sales goals are met.
  • Prepares and reviews various reports and correspondence including annual market plans, status updates and expense reports.
  • Participates in business and professional organizations to develop relationships and improve knowledge.

Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.

Minimum Requirements:

Position requires a bachelor’s degree and three years' experience in a sales or a related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. 

Position requires advanced verbal and written communication skills along with strong negotiating and persuading ability; ability to analyze and resolve problems and use independent judgment.

Position requires a state health insurance license or must obtain one within three months of employment.

Position also requires a well-maintained, UAW- assembled or CAW (Canadian Auto Workers)- assembled motor vehicle.
