The Team You Will Join
This position is on the sales team in the Atlanta Office. The office serves brokers in Georgia and Alabama and their customers with 2 to 5,000 employees. The sales team consists of a Regional Director and 10 Account Executives. The team manages a $325M+ block of business and is responsible for exceeding a $55M+ sales goal.
The Opportunity
The Account Executive is responsible for growing revenue and earnings within their assigned territory. This is accomplished by selling new customers, adding coverages to existing customers, increasing participation through re-enrollments, managing extensions, and placing renewals. Successful Account Executives build deep and broad relationships with their assigned brokers by delivering great experiences for brokers and customers, consistently being in market, and proactively providing valuable information, insights, and solutions. Account Executives are expected to generate additional activity and drive high close ratios.
The assigned territory for this position will be working with brokers in Georgia. These brokers will be primarily in metro Atlanta.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Account Executive to join a winning team in one of the larger MetLife sales offices and call on brokers with significant books of business and up market opportunity. There will be Global, National, and Regional firms included in the territory. The expected sales goal, although not yet finalized, will be more than $6M.
Success in this role requires someone to be hungry, trustworthy, and a great teammate. You'll collaborate closely with service, underwriting, products, your peers, third party partners, and others on the MetLife team in an environment where every contribution is respected, and every perspective is heard. You will be required to strengthen existing external relationships and develop new ones.
How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
- Lead. Amongst the team with high engagement internally and externally to drive our business.
- Create. A business plan to maximize your opportunity.
- Oversee. Some of the biggest broker relationships in Atlanta and in the Southeast.
- Manage. A significant book of business with customers up and down market.
- Develop. Strategies to strengthen broker relationships and take advantage of local market opportunities.
- Coordinate . Experiences for our brokers and customers with your internal and external partners. This includes customer stewardship, broker stewardship, implementation, renewals, plan changes, and issue resolution.
- Document. Provide reports and updates on activities, strategies, and progress.
- Ownership. Take accountability and responsibility for exceeding our goals and our brokers' expectations.

The expected salary range for this position is $50,000. This role may also be eligible for incentive compensation under the sales plan for the position. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
