Protector Plans is seeking an Account Executive to join our growing team in Seattle, WA.
The Account Executive will perform sales and technical functions for retention, cross selling, and new business to group medical, group dental, individual disability, individual life insurance. Professional Protector Plan professional liability policies and to excess and surplus lines customers as well.
How You Will Contribute:
- Maintain a renewal book of Dental malpractice clients with a focus on P&C business as well as group medical/dental business.
Quote, complete and submit applications for P&C, Including professional liability, individual disability, business overhead and business loan protection and life insurance for Dental practice customers.
- Review applications submitted for renewals and process appropriate carriers. Secure required underwriting information and coordinate with carrier for quotes, binding coverage and handling all aspects of customer service on bound business.
- Responsible for the combined functions of the development and successful acquisition on new business revenue from new and existing clients and providing a high level of client service to assigned accounts.
- Manage the client and prospect relationships to help grow the book of existing accounts, providing, and recommending the most appropriate insurance solutions.
- Dental school relationship and presentations, as appropriate.
- Prepare new business strategies, including proposals and presentations while ensuring agreement with customer’s requests/requirements. Analyze prospect’s needs and current insurance programs and find opportunities to strengthen their risk management structure.
- Complete necessary research on client inquiries using multiple internal and external vendor systems and resources and prepare responses in real time.
- Prepare marketing strategy information and market the account to insurance carriers.
- Present carrier proposals to prospect.
- Negotiate premiums with the insurance carrier.
- Be responsible for collecting all the premiums due on each account (if applicable).
- Oversee the loss control on each account and analyze loss trends.
- Process any changes in coverage either directly with the insurance carriers or by instructing staff in writing.
- Attend sales meetings as required.
- Keep informed of industry developments by review of trade.
Licenses and Certifications:
State of Washington License (2-20 P&C) required.
State of Washington Life & Health License
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
HS Diploma or equivalent is required; Prefer a college degree.
Skill and ability to type 40 wpm.
Operate office equipment and a PC, use computer software to include, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Applied and ET File.
Knowledge of good business practices and office procedures.
Ability to exercise prudent judgment in adhering to business and personnel guidelines.
Ability to be a passenger on a plane, drive a motor vehicle, rent a motor vehicle, and maintain a good driving record.
