We are seeking a meticulous Donation Accounting and Compliance Specialist to manage the financial integrity of our fundraising operations. This pivotal role focuses on the accurate recording, verification, and reconciliation of donor contributions. The successful candidate will ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards while maintaining comprehensive financial records, facilitating seamless communication between finance and relationship management teams, and supporting the overall transparency of our donation ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Record Keeping: Accurately log all donation transactions by cross-referencing bank statements with supporting documentation to ensure data integrity.
- Donor Verification: Validate donor Permanent Account Numbers (PAN) via the TRACES portal, ensuring all donor profiles meet current regulatory compliance standards and resolving any data inconsistencies.
- Receipt Processing: Generate and distribute official donation receipts to contributors, maintaining a precise log of all issued documents and recording these entries within the Tally accounting system.
- Bank Data Coordination: Provide daily bank statement updates to the Relationship Management team and assist in tracking donation inflows across multiple collection channels.
- Reconciliation Assistance: Support the reconciliation of funds collected through various fundraising platforms and perform periodic audits to align donor records, bank receipts, and general ledger entries.
- Documentation Management: Organize and maintain comprehensive donor files, including Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), correspondence, and financial records, ensuring efficient filing and retrieval processes.
- Operational Flexibility: Execute additional job-related tasks and instructions as directed by supervisors to support organizational goals.
