We’re looking for an experienced sales professional to join the Smartcat team who is responsible for building relationships, driving revenue and closing business with small and medium sized companies. This is a hunter role, building pipeline and developing a territory mostly through outbound activities (80/20) and requires a high-energy, very organized person with advanced communication skills. Your mission is to identify, source, and close ideal customer prospects to pursue inbound leads and self-sourced leads for your pipeline, while also partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve team goals. Your success is measured by contribution to Smartcat’s industry fastest revenue growth rate of 200–400% yearly.

  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly ARR targets with businesses that have a significant translation spend
  • Manage and own the sales cycle from qualification to close
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly KPIs: pipeline generation, deal velocity and progression towards quota attainment

  • Experience within the translation industry or 2+ years of experience in SaaS sales (preferred) selling a subscription or subscription with services model
  • Leverage your past experience to communicate our mission of transforming the global translation industry
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective customers through outbound sales and territory development 
  • Strong track record of actively prospecting into new business opportunities
  • Solid sales fundamentals, business & sales acumen
  • Drive complex deals from initial contact, all the way through to close within a fast paced sales environment
  • Connect and consult with inbound leads and marketing generated opportunities.
  • Prepare and present software demos with prospects and guide them through the buying process
  • Leverage sales automation tools to track sales activities
  • Sell to key decision makers (Directors and VPs)
  • Excellent communication skills to navigate colleague, customer, and partner interactions
