THE MISSION

We are looking for a motivated Account Executive Travel to acquire new businesses. The role is about actively seeking new opportunities and to scale acquisition of new businesses, particularly in the Hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive strategy for new clients, territories and verticals: lead sales calls, business reviews, and recurring check-ins;
  • Regularly generate new business opportunities, differentiates Scalapay's services by building custom sales pitches and presentations with case studies, industry data, and relevant research;
  • Manage the Go-Live of your merchants, negotiating the best UX for our customers and setting with the merchant, to achieve the highest possible Scalapay share of wallet;
  • Leverage relationships with the technology platforms, payment providers, marketing or revenue agencies, and key stakeholders in the travel and hospitality industry to generate revenue opportunities;
  • Identify new opportunities to optimize our offering and serve merchants with the full suite of our products: from custom projects to off-the-shelf products;
  • Collaborate closely with onboarding, integration, marketing and account management to optimize the sales cycle;
  • Work on improving a complete and complex sales cycle, from prospecting to contract signature with multi-interlocutors, while managing your sales pipeline in our CRM (Hubspot);
  • Meet your partners face-to-face regularly for about 25% of your time via market visit, fairs, event and other activities;
  • Support your team and the overall strategy to continue positioning Scalapay as the pioneer in Buy Now, Pay Later for Travel;
  • Keep up to date with everything cool that's happening in the industry; think of yourself as the expert for innovation in the travel industry.

Who We're Looking For

Must have:

  • 3-5 years of relevant sales, or business development experience within the Travel, Hospitality, SaaS or digital marketing industries;
  • You are fluent in Italia, and you are comfortable working (especially writing) in English as it’s our work language inside Scalapay.

Nice to have:

  • You've worked in technology companies selling to Hospitality;
  • You have a good knowledge of CRM tools, LinkedIn and prospecting solutions;
  • You have already experienced a hyper growth startup environment;
  • You know MEDDIC.

  • You have an incredible determination to achieve your goals, you are dynamic, with an undeniable strength of conviction;
  • You've got excellent presentation and communication skills;
  • You are autonomous, rigorous, and proactive to get things done;
  • You are a team player: you know how to defend your convictions while learning from others.

Hiring process:

  • Initial Chat: A brief conversation with our Talent Acquisition team to get to know you and understand your fit for the role.
  • Hiring Manager Interview: First interview with the Vice President Growth to deep dive into your experiences, better understand your motivation and explore your skills.
  • Case Study: A skills-based exercise followed by a debriefing session with key stakeholders, conducted in our Milan office.
  • Final Chat with Simone (CEO): A chance to discuss Scalapay’s values, company vision, and ensure strong cultural alignment. During this stage, we will also conduct reference checks to validate your experience and achievements.

Scalapay is an innovative payment method which allows a customer to defer payments through 3 or 4 interest-free installments. The buy now pay later service is available in over 7.000 physical stores and in the e-stores of more than 5.000 brands.
