Brown & Brown is seeking a Marine Account Representative to join our growing team in Ft. Lauderdale, FL!
The Marine Account Representative works closely with the Producer to service new and existing accounts, support agency retention goals, and uphold service standards. This role assists in preparing and presenting insurance proposals, managing client communications, and maintaining strong relationships through regular client visits. The Representative collaborates with Account Managers and the service team to ensure seamless account servicing, while actively contributing to the agency’s growth and client satisfaction.
How You Will Contribute:
Establish positive working relationships with customers for account retention.
Learn ins and outs of a yacht policy and setting up a new yacht prospect.
Assist in the information gathering / presentation of insurance proposals.
Keep producer, service team and management informed of real or potential problems.
Handle client requests for information, endorsements, etc., in a timely and courteous matter.
Maintain excellent organizational and time management skills.
Work closely with Account Managers and servicing team to retain accounts.
Adhere to established Commercial Lines standards and procedures.
Utilize agency automation with a high level of knowledge and proficiency.
Pursue a program of personal and professional development.
Licenses and Certifications:
Florida Agents License
CPCU and/or CIC designation (Preferred)
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Four-year college degree (Preferred)
Ability to read and write in English clearly and professionally
Ability to complete tasks timely and accurately
Ability to maintain standards of quality and quantity of output as established by Management
Completion and/or evidence of skills as outlined by management
