The Role



We are seeking an Enterprise Account Executive to drive growth across a defined set of large enterprise accounts. The mandate is clear: land new logos, expand existing customers, and position VAST as the data platform of choice for AI and data-intensive workloads. This AE will own end-to-end account strategy and execution—building pipeline, closing complex deals, and expanding footprint across lines of business. Success requires a balance of hunting (net-new acquisition) and farming (expansion within existing accounts), with the ability to navigate enterprise organizations and drive multi-threaded engagement.

This is a high-impact, quota-carrying role focused on accelerating VAST’s penetration into the enterprise market.

Key Responsibilities

Account Ownership & Growth

  • Own a portfolio of enterprise accounts within a defined territory or segment
  • Drive net-new logo acquisition alongside expansion within existing customers
  • Develop and execute account plans focused on pipeline generation and growth
  • Identify and convert high-value use cases across AI, analytics, and enterprise data

Revenue & Deal Execution

  • Build and manage a robust pipeline across multiple accounts
  • Lead complex, multi-threaded enterprise sales cycles
  • Close large, multi-year transactions with predictable execution
  • Maintain strong forecast discipline and pipeline hygiene

Technical & Business Positioning

  • Position VAST for AI/ML, analytics, enterprise applications, and data modernization initiatives
  • Partner with Solutions Engineering to align technical solutions with business outcomes
  • Articulate clear ROI and differentiated value to both technical and business stakeholders

Ecosystem & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Leverage partners (channel, cloud, OEM, and ecosystem) to drive access and scale
  • Collaborate with SE, Product, and Executive teams to win and expand accounts
  • Feed structured customer insights back into product and GTM strategy
Requirements
  • 7–12+ years of enterprise sales experience in infrastructure, data, or cloud platforms
  • Proven ability to consistently exceed quota in enterprise environments
  • Track record of closing complex, multi-million-dollar deals
  • Experience selling into large enterprises with multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles
  • Strong understanding of data infrastructure, AI/ML, or cloud ecosystems
  • High execution intensity with strong pipeline generation and deal management skills
