Job Description:
As a Senior Account Executive at DTN, you will lead strategic sales efforts for DTN's Weather Intelligence solutions, targeting key verticals such as Utilities, Energy Grid Operators, Transportation/Logistics, Sports & Events, and Public Safety providers across Northern Europe. Your focus will be on expanding market share and delivering impactful, data-driven insights that solve real operational challenges.
What you will be responsible for:
Drive new business acquisition and upsell opportunities within your verticals, targeting key decision-makers at enterprise-level accounts.
Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to contract negotiation, with a track record of closing deals above EUR 100K.
Partner with Solution Engineering and Product teams to deliver tailored, weather-based solutions to clients.
Penetrate 20 new accounts within the first 6 months while maintaining consistent CRM hygiene and forecasting accuracy.
Leverage tools like Gong for conversation intelligence and Sales Navigator for prospecting to stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity.
Maintain accurate pipeline updates and account activities in Salesforce, ensuring alignment with quarterly revenue targets.
Demonstrated expertise in building and executing territory and account plans.
What you will bring to the role:
Extensive background in software or SaaS sales and territory management experience.
Demonstrated strengths in relationship building, problem solving, and solution selling.
Ability to own and execute key growth activities, identify new business opportunities, and engage in commercial activities with current customers.
Proven track record of developing relationships at the highest level of large, complex organizations.
Must be assertive, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure.
Strong knowledge of working with a CRM system – Salesforce.com preferred.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities
Ability to travel approx. 20–30% for client meetings and industry events

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between £67,500 and £90,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
