As an Accessories Supervisor, you will lead the day-to-day accessory installation operation and supervise a five-person team supporting guest vehicles and dealership inventory. You will coordinate work across sales, service, parts, warranty, and Custom Creations; manage repair-order and billing workflow; confirm the quality of completed installations; and maintain safe, organized, and productive operations. You will also coach team members, manage schedules and work assignments, and help grow the accessories business through strong service, quality, and cross-functional partnership.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, schedule, and support a five-person team, assigning daily work and holding team members accountable for timeliness, quality, safety, and productivity.
- Coordinate accessory installations for guest vehicles and dealership inventory from intake and scheduling through completion and delivery.
- Manage customer transactions from start to finish, providing responsive service, clear communication, and follow-through throughout the accessory installation process.
- Order accessories and maintain appropriate inventory controls to support scheduled work and business needs.
- Partner with sales, service, parts, warranty, Custom Creations, Collision Center, and other departments to manage workflow, resolve issues, and support internal and external customers.
- Use CDK and related systems to open repair orders, assign or flag technician work, bill the appropriate accounts, and close tickets accurately.
- Work with the parts department and Collision Center to confirm that the correct accessories are ordered and available to support scheduled work.
- Perform final quality control reviews and identify installation exceptions before vehicles are released.
- Maintain effective scheduling, billing, documentation, and operational follow-through across accessory installation activities.
- Monitor operational performance, including sales volume, gross profit, business growth, timely completion, and the dealership goal of maintaining approximately 80% of inventory in an accessorized state.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area that is free of debris and consistent with company and OEM requirements.
- Support continuous team development as vehicle technology, accessories, materials, and installation practices evolve.
- Address customer and internal-partner concerns professionally and make day-to-day operational decisions within the role’s authority.
- Review insurance estimates or warranty information when relevant to the work, without making these reviews the position's primary focus.
Qualifications:
- Experience leading, coaching, or coordinating employees in a fast-paced service, dealership, retail operations, or comparable environment.
- Strong customer service experience, including managing customer interactions and transactions from initial contact through completion.
- Experience ordering and managing inventory in a dealership, service, retail, or comparable operational environment.
- Computer proficiency and demonstrated ability to learn dealership applications, accessory processes, and quality standards.
- Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate work across departments, and maintain attention to detail under operational pressure.
- Ability to recognize quality exceptions and hold team members accountable for completed work and turnaround expectations.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record in accordance with company requirements.
- Ability to work business hours between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with Saturday availability as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CDK experience, particularly opening repair orders, flagging technician work, billing, and closing tickets.
- Approximately three or more years of relevant automotive, dealership, service, parts, accessory, or related operations experience.
- Prior supervisory or formal team-lead experience.
- Familiarity with vehicle accessories, installation workflow, dealership repair orders, billing, and final quality control.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
