As an Accessibility Specialist, you will support the execution and delivery of closed captioning (CC/SDH) and audio description (AD) assets for Crunchyroll’s global releases. Embedded within the International Dubbing team, you will coordinate accessibility workflows across vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure assets are delivered accurately, on time, and in compliance with established standards.
This role is execution-focused and operational in scope, requiring strong attention to detail, vendor coordination experience, and familiarity with localization and dubbing workflows. You will operate independently within defined processes while escalating complex issues to leadership as needed.
Core Areas of Responsibility Accessibility Workflow Coordination- Coordinate end-to-end accessibility asset movement for assigned titles, including closed captioning (CC/SDH) and audio description (AD).
- Track deliverables across vendors, titles, and regions, maintaining accurate status reporting and milestone tracking.
- Monitor timelines and proactively flag risks or delays to leadership.
- Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for accessibility vendors for inquiries, clarifications, approvals, and issue resolution.
- Partner with Brand Management, Programming, Localization, Content Operations, and Materials teams to ensure asset readiness and alignment.
- Escalate unresolved quality or timing concerns to the International Dubbing Localization Manager as appropriate.
- Conduct quality control checks on key names, terminology, formatting, and timing to ensure compliance with Crunchyroll accessibility specifications and style guides.
- Support maintenance of Key Names & Phrases (KNP) and terminology tracking in partnership with translation teams.
- Ensure deliverables meet established regional regulatory requirements and platform standards.
- Create and manage Jira tickets related to accessibility blockers, missing materials, and caption/AD issues.
- Generate and manage Polaris orders for accessibility work, ensuring accurate scoping and alignment with timelines.
- Coordinate materials delivery via approved systems (e.g., Aspera) and confirm successful vendor receipt.
- Upload and publish accessibility assets in Crunchyroll’s CMS to support on-time launches.
- Follow established accessibility workflows and documentation standards.
- Provide feedback on workflow efficiencies and support management-led continuous improvement initiatives.
- 2+ years of experience in localization, post-production operations, or accessibility coordination.
- Hands-on experience managing closed captioning (CC/SDH) and/or audio description (AD) workflows.
- Experience working within the entertainment or streaming industry; animated content experience preferred.
- Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple titles simultaneously.
- Working knowledge of production tracking tools (e.g., Jira), asset management systems, and CMS platforms.
- High attention to detail and comfort operating within structured workflows.
- Commitment to accessibility and inclusive content delivery.
