Summary of Job Duties:
The Appointment Business Center Supervisor facilitates the operations of assigned workflows including registration, call center, patient portals, on-line/e-requests, EPIC work queues, and physician referrals.
Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field plus three (3) years of registration and/or billing experience or
    • High School diploma/GED plus seven (7) years of registration and/or billing experience including three (3) years of experience in a healthcare environment required.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field
    • Leadership or supervisory experience
    • Call center experience


    Additional Information:

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Supervises department staff by monitoring activities and productivity daily
    • Takes appropriate action to insure staff consistently meets performance standards
    • Establishes and maintains performance standards for productivity, quality, and compliance. Implements process improvement and reports results. 
    • Responsible for ensuring the team meets expectations for referral turnaround, call statistics, quality, and customer service. 
    • Provides detailed information to leadership for barriers to scheduling to help improve UAMS access. 
    • Works closely with ABC management to develop, implement, and maintain formalized training plans. 
    • Serves as the main contact for access-related patient complaints for assigned service line(s).  Completes all research to resolve complaints, provides customer service recovery, and completes root cause analysis when required.
    • Meets with service line(s) 
    • Conduct & attend staff meetings
    • Participates in the orientation and/or training of new staff.
    • Performs other duties as assigned
