The Opportunity:

As an Academic Lead, you will provide academic and operational leadership across a portfolio of units within our Law discipline.  Your role will involve ensuring an exceptional online learning experience for students and maintaining the highest standards of academic quality.  Leading a team of Online Learning Advisors, you will drive teaching excellence, support continuous curriculum improvement and act as a key escalation point for complex academic matters.

You will work closely with university partners and internal stakeholders and will play a critical role in delivering quality outcomes, fostering staff capability, and ensuring compliance with higher education standards and partner requirements.

This is a full-time role and remote based role. 


Your new role:

·       Lead the successful delivery of a portfolio of units, ensuring a high-quality student learning experience and compliance with OES and university partner academic standards.

·       Drive academic quality and continuous improvement by overseeing quality assurance processes and facilitating collaboration between teaching and learning design teams.

·       Provide expert guidance and resolution for complex academic matters, including student escalations, complaints, and academic integrity issues.

·       Develop and lead a high-performing team of Online Learning Advisors, fostering teaching excellence, capability development, and a strong student-centred culture.

·       Use performance and engagement data to optimise teaching operations, improve service delivery, and ensure timely, high-quality feedback for students.

·       Build strong partnerships with university stakeholders and internal teams, supporting strategic initiatives, maintaining academic quality, and delivering positive partner outcomes.


Who we need:

·       Postgraduate qualification in business, education management or a law related discipline or equivalent professional expertise

·       Extensive experience teaching and leading law subjects or programs within a higher education environment.

·       Proven academic leadership experience, including oversight of academic quality assurance, curriculum governance, and compliance with higher education standards.

·       Demonstrated people leadership capability including experience in performance management, performance reviews and recruitment of staff.

·       Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret student metrics and implement targeted improvement initiatives.

·       Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
