The Opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Counsel to join our Legal & Integrity team in Mexico. This role is ideal for a recent law graduate with fluent English skills and a strong interest in contract review, corporate governance, and compliance. The successful candidate will provide legal support to various business units, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, local regulations, and global standards.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Provide comprehensive legal & integrity support within Hitachi Energy Mexico
Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements under supervision.
Support corporate governance activities, including preparation and filing of corporate documents and follow-up with authorities.
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of integrity and compliance programs, policies, and training initiatives.
Ensure compliance with corporate integrity programs (anti-corruption, data privacy, business integrity, conflicts of interest).
Conduct legal research on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external counsel for legal matters in Mexico.
Maintain accurate legal records and contract databases.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

Your Background:
Law degree with valid professional license.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Strong interest in corporate law, contracts, and compliance.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Practical, solution-oriented approach.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Previous internship or experience in corporate law, compliance, or contracts (desirable but not mandatory).
