Job Description:

Duration/Hours:

Pay rate: $20/hour

Part-time: 22.5 hours per week (9 am- 2 pm; 30-minutes for lunch)

FLSA: Non-exempt

ABA’s Externship provides high school-aged students the opportunity to get paid while learning from one of the biggest trade associations in Washington, DC. This extremely selective opportunity will afford a student the opportunity to shadow various staff members and executives across the association, observe real work, participate in curated training, build a network, and make a difference.

Primary Responsibilities

• Shadow various members of ABA staff to learn about their roles.
• Ask questions and seek information required by your High School Program
• Participate in structured and unstructured training and learning
• Learn useful technology such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint etc.  

Required Skills

• Professional demeanor
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Structured thinking
• Interest in Banking and the Trade Association space

Minimum Education Requirements

• High School Senior preparing to graduate

Salary Band Range:

$15.00 - $37.50 - $60.00
