Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Sr. Analyst, A2R, located in Manila, Philippines. 

The Sr. Analyst, A2R plays a critical role in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant accounting and reporting outcomes across the Accounting‑to‑Reporting (A2R) cycle. This position supports global accounting operations by executing core accounting activities, strengthening controls, and enabling high‑quality management and statutory reporting. The role offers strong exposure to global stakeholders, opportunities to drive continuous improvement, and a chance to help shape scalable accounting processes within a growing global services organization. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Perform end‑to‑end Accounting‑to‑Reporting (A2R) activities, including general ledger accounting, period‑end close, reconciliations, and journal entries. 

  • Prepare and review balance sheet and profit & loss account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. 

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including consolidation inputs and management reporting schedules. 

  • Assist in the preparation of statutory and compliance reporting, ensuring adherence to applicable accounting standards (e.g., GAAP) and governance requirements. 

  • Participate in internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to audit inquiries, and supporting issue resolution. 

  • Perform trend and variance analysis to identify risks, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement within the A2R cycle. 

  • Contribute to the implementation of standardized, cost‑effective, and scalable accounting processes within GS Services. 

  • Collaborate with global finance partners and cross‑functional stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and support reporting objectives. 

  • Apply Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in daily work and team interactions. 

 

Qualifications 

Education 

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. 

  • Preferred: Master’s degree, MBA, or professional accounting qualification coursework. (Preferred; not required) 

Experience and Skills 

Required: 

  • Generally requires 0–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, aligned to the Analyst (P4 – E24) level. 

  • Foundational knowledge of general ledger accounting, financial close processes, and account reconciliations. 

  • Understanding of accounting standards (e.g., GAAP) and internal control concepts. 

  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and support issue resolution. 

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity. 

Preferred: 

  • Experience in a shared services or global services environment. 

  • Exposure to Accounting‑to‑Reporting (A2R) processes in a multinational organization. 

  • Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools. 

  • Prior involvement in audits or compliance reporting activities. 

  • Continuous improvement mindset with interest in process standardization and automation. 

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with global stakeholders. 

Other 

  • Language: Proficiency in English (written and spoken). 

  • Travel: Minimal; primarily local with occasional virtual global collaboration. 

  • Certifications: CPA, CMA, or equivalent accounting certifications are preferred but not required.
