About the role
We are seeking an experienced 3PL Logistics Manager to lead and execute a best-in-class 3PL logistics network for our finished goods and spare parts. This is an integral leadership role in our Operations team, ensuring that our products reach our customers safely, efficiently and on time, while upholding the highest service and safety standards.
In this role you’ll be responsible for managing our national 3PL logistics operation – from container cartage, inter DC transfers, retail & commercial deliveries to final mile delivery & installation. It also encompasses reverse logistics and recycling. You’ll drive continuous process improvement, embed a strong health and safety culture, and partner across functions to ensure cost efficiency and service excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Supports the GM of Operations in the planning and deployment of end-to-end business transformation initiatives across the 3PL network, ensuring systems, structures and service meet the needs of our future customer and service levels.
- Oversee final mile fulfilment across multiple channels (B2B, B2C and B2B2C) with strong cost and service management.
- Leads commercial negotiations with 3PL providers, establishes commercial operating terms, rates and performance metrics.
- Leads a small team and builds a collaborative culture by coaching and developing team members
- Takes an active role in streamlining processes to improve customer service and truck utilisation.
- Partner with Finance to manage operational budgets, cost optimisation and performance reporting.
- Develop training and onboarding frameworks for 3PL providers, ensuring they reflect Fisher & Paykel’s values, brand standards and safe work practices.
- Champion health, safety and environmental compliance across the logistics network, embedding a proactive safety culture.
- Act as a brand ambassador in customer and stakeholder interactions, ensuring Fisher & Paykel’s trusted reputation is upheld.
Who are you?
You are a commercially astute logistics professional with proven experience managing third-party providers and driving operational performance. You thrive in a fast-moving environment, can balance strategic planning with hands-on execution, and are passionate about safety, service and continuous improvement. Strong communication, negotiation and leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to build trust and collaboration across diverse teams and partners.
