Human Resources announces an opening for a 1.0 FTE Preschool Assistant, A-09, 187 days, located at Campbell Elementary School.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Patient, flexible, and organized.
- Ability to communicate with parents.
- Collaborative team player.
- Willingness to work under teacher direction and supervision.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working with elementary students.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Assistants must meet the requirements of the NCLB and Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) at the time of hire.
- A high school diploma, and An Associate Degree or two years of college study.
- At least 60 semester hours or a score of at least 455 on the Parapro Test
- Experience working with children.
- Willingness to learn specialized techniques.
- Willingness to work under teacher direction and supervision.
- Ability to work with a small group of children independently.
- Ability to follow through independently with teacher requests.
Salary range based upon 26/27 pay plan.
Newly hired employees with previous experience in their field may receive salary credit for up
to five years of experience related to the job being filled.
A-Scale (Benefit Eligible): $24.60–$46.79 per hour
