What You’ll Do:
The Enterprise Architect will collaborate with other Salesforce Architects, development teams, and business stakeholders to provide architectural and design documentation while ensuring solutions adhere to HHSC security principles, DIR requirements, and industry best practices. In addition to high-level architecture oversight, this position will also be responsible for hands-on development, administration, and on-call support of HHSC Salesforce applications.
This role demands extensive experience in enterprise-level technical solutions, including risk assessment, financial modeling, and process optimization. The successful candidate will have the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, high-performing technical solutions while maintaining compliance with HHSC security and operational standards.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Lead the technical roadmap ensuring adherence to Salesforce best practices.
- Work with Salesforce Architects to ensure solutions are optimized, leveraging low-code approaches and third-party solutions when appropriate.
- Translate business requirements into specific system designs, applications, and process flows.
- Construct risk assessments and remediation plans for complex technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain architecture/design documentation, ensuring compliance with non-functional requirements, security principles, and industry regulations.
- Provide technical expertise and trusted advisory services to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary architect for highly complex Salesforce implementations, ensuring seamless integration with other enterprise applications.
- Participate in on-call support 24/7 for HHSC Salesforce applications and respond to urgent technical issues.
- Work extended hours and be available for in-person meetings on short notice (1-2 days’ notice).
- Maintain detailed financial models and cost analyses to align with complex technical services proposals.
- Document and optimize processes, staffing plans, and service-level agreements.
What You’ll Need:
- 8+ years of experience in technical architecture and enterprise software development.
- Strong Salesforce expertise, with experience in Salesforce architecture, administration, and development.
- Deep knowledge of software architecture principles and enterprise IT solutions.
- Extensive experience in financial modeling, cost estimation, and risk assessment for large-scale IT projects.
- Hands-on experience in application development, database management, and system integration.
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects, balancing business needs, scalability, and security.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments, ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.
