Job Objective:
Supports projects, installation, and maintenance of facility instrumentation and electrical components to ensure a safe, comfortable, operating environment.
Essential Job Responsibilities:

Identifies current and future Instrumentation/Controls requirements by establishing a rapport with management, engineering, production personnel, technicians, and other persons in a position to understand controls requirements.

Directs and supervises contractors as needed to complete assignments that are more than a one-man job.

Assists in the training of employees on how to perform the duties of maintenance, construction, and repair of instruments/analyzers and electrical equipment

Ensures equipment is operating properly by determining work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of controls equipment.

Supports product development and improvement by reviewing new product plans, discussing equipment needs and modifications, coordinating activities with other facility crafts.

Supports and maintains Electronic, Mechanical, and Pneumatic instrumentation of various types and manufacturers.

Support Operations and Maintenance departments as needed.

Working knowledge of analyzers and ability to troubleshoot
-
Dew Point analysis.
-
Calibrations of pressure transmitter and switches.
-
DCS/PLC Maintenance and Troubleshooting.

Utilize trends to diagnose/troubleshoot operational issues.

Ability to respond to power outages.

Knowledge and ability to run tubing as needed

Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:

Five (5) years minimum experience required in oil and gas plant and field instrumentation maintenance.

Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).

Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time.

Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
-
Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.

Ability to accurately solve problems.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, and the public.

Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
Education Requirements:

Work requires an educational background normally acquired through a degree in Instrumentation, Process Control, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
