About The Opportunity
This person in this position is responsible for assisting in the operation of a rotary die cutter to produce quality product safely and efficiently.
Job Description
Essential Functions:
1. Assist operator with set up, operation, and monitoring machine to produce corrugated products and
recording operational data
2. Review work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used,
locations of cutting lines, scores and printing; or dimensions and tolerances
3. Select and install machine components such as plates and die boards, using hand tools
4. Start machine to verify setups, and make any necessary adjustments
* Start machines and move controls to regulate tension on pressure rolls, to synchronize speed of
machine components, and/or ink as needed
5. Examine completed work to detect defects and verify conformance to specifications, using measuring
devices such as rulers, micrometers, or scales, and adjust machinery as necessary to correct production
problems
6. Remove defective or substandard materials from machines, and readjust machine components so that
products meet standards
* Follow designated quality escalation process
7. Stack and sort finished material for packaging, further processing, or shipping, according to specifications
8. Utilize computer to input production data as required
9. Maintain production records, such as quantities, downtime and production issues
10. Move stock or scrap to and from machines manually, or by using carts, hand trucks, or lift trucks
11. Clean and perform preventative maintenance on machine as required
12. Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
2. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
3. Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
4. Ability to effectively work in teams
5. Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
6. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
7. Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Pay Rate:
Training $ 27.71
Qualified $ 29.75
Work Hours
3-2-2-3 Schedule (M, T, F, S, S, W, T, repeat)
6am to 6pm
