Summer Internship Program

Are you looking for an exciting internship program in the insurance and finance industry? Americo and IPFS are excited to co-host our 10 week paid internship program in Kansas City! This is a unique internship experience allowing you exposure and networking opportunities with our sister company, Imperial PFS

*Note: This is an onsite internship. Consequently, you must be in the Kansas City area to be considered. We do offer housing, however, the number of spaces are limited.

Job Summary:

Launch your career with Americo Life Insurance in our 2027 Summer Internship Program! You’ll have the opportunity to work on projects, build your skills, and network with professionals across companies and other interns at Imperial PFS. In addition, you’ll gain real-life experience and explore what it’s like to work as part of an organization that exemplifies people, performance, and possibilities. We have opportunities in departments across our companies in Sales, Accounting, Marketing, Project Management, IT, Claims, New Business, Producer Services, Operations, and more!

Over the 10 week program, you will participate in business projects, mentoring, professional development, and team-building activities designed to set you up for professional success.

• You are able to use Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

Possible Responsibilities for the summer:

• Develop and assist with engaging content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Collaborate with the Sales team to align content with strategic goals. Maintain content calendars and ensure consistent brand voice and visual identity. Monitor digital engagement and recommend improvements based on analytics and performance insights.
• Video Production & Editing:
  Assist in the planning, filming, and editing of video content for sales, training, onboarding, promotional campaigns, and internal initiatives. Ensure all videos meet brand standards and are optimized for web and social distribution.
• Marketing Collateral & Copywriting:
  Contribute to the development of both digital and traditional marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, email campaigns, and website content. Craft clear, engaging, and brand-consistent copy tailored to a variety of audiences and platforms.
• Compliance & Content Review:
  Support the compliance review process for agent-created materials and ensure all content aligns with Americo’s branding and advertising guidelines.
• Cross-Functional Support:
  Participate in team meetings, campaign planning, and brainstorming sessions. Assist with project coordination and administrative tasks to support timely content delivery and execution of marketing

Requirements:

• Must be currently pursuing a degree and remain fully enrolled in the program during the duration of the internship

• Must be able to begin an internship in June in Kansas City

• Freshman through Senior standing in a four-year institution pursuing a Bachelor’s degree

• Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week
